Early MkB42 / MP43 / MP44 wooden buttstock

A rare original laminated wooden buttstock for the series of 'Sturmgewehr' rifles.This particular one being the earliest variant, with the larger / wider profile, as found on the MkB42, MP43/1, MP43 and early MP44 variations of the StG44 series of rifles.This design was subsequently replaced with the narrower examples (matching the K98 stock profile) to enable storage in existing mounts within armoured vehicles.A very rare spare part to find, yet alone in this condition with the matching attachment collar.Perfect to add to aSturmgewehrthat may be missing this period correct feature!
