Original period manufacture. Adopted in 1897 with a special pattern ribbed steel scabbard. Original green leather frog. Variant lock mechanism on the pommel instead of on the side of the pommel, press button stud on the top. Even steel patina finish overall with some evidence of light cleaned corrosion. No denting to the surface of the steel scabbard.
