WWII U.S. Army 15 Years Long Service Patch (Khaki Backing)

This is an original WWII U.S. Army patch, with each of its five diagonal hash marks denoting three years of service. This particular example conists of green embroidered hash marks on a khaki backing, and does not appear to have ever been stitched to the sleeve of a service jacket.
