MG34/42 ammo box 'bsj 1941 WaA'

A very nice example of the early to mid-war steelPatronenkasten 41model ammo can for the MG34/42.This particular one retains 90% of the original grey-blue paint, over red oxide primer, and the original leather handle covers.Maker coded and dated 'bsj 1941' to the top of the lid, as well as beingWaffenamtproofed, as shown.This MG tin has also hand-applied markings to number the box '3/3' and white banding; likely to identify the box to a particular group or indeed type of ammunition contained inside. A very interesting feature.
