These are not simple a 1 piece flat stamped button, they are made from 2 pieces mated together which gives the button some thickness. I have seen these used on a lot of Wehrmacht trousers. Especially late war stuff and a lot of Panzer and assault gun trousers. The size is 16 - 17mm. Actual measurement is about 16.5mm.
