Description

Original Junghans wristwatch using at J97 movement which was introduced in 1940. This was more than likely a military watch, however many of the early watches did not receive a DH serial number marking. This does not have a military serial number. This was one of my best watches for a long time, I wore it a handful of times at various events. It was always a strong runner, except the last event I wore it for where it did stop and start infrequently, a problem I have not been able to replicate in tests since then. The case is worn showing a fair amount of brass under the nickel plating. The strap is a post war military style strap, its not ideal but it looks fairly good when worn. I would recommend just getting a new strap and cleaning it up a bit. There are a number of engraved numbers on the inside, likely from various maintenance visits to the watchmaker.
