Waffen-SS Jerrycan - vertical Runes

Waffen-SS 20 liter Jerrycan (Kraftstoff Kanister). The classic 'Jerry' can design was originally adopted by the German Armed forces around 1937 and was so successful that the allies valued captured cans and based their own on the same design. Each side of the can has a large impressed strength reinforcing 'X'. The can is nicely marked with 'Kraftstoff 20l, Feuergefährlich' (Fuel 20 liters,inflammable). The jerrycan is maker marked by 'Sandrik' and nicely marked with the recognizeable SS runes. This is a rarely seen double stamped variant with vertically stamped SS runes on top of the horizontal ones. The jerrycan retains most of its original green paint, see photos. These original SS Jerrycans are extremely hard to find!
