Basingstoke High School for Girl Hampshire uniform badge

A good original circa 1930's period 'Basingstoke High School for Girl uniform badge' gilt and enamel shield, one half depicting the Rose and Crown from the Hampshire Coat of Arms, the other 'St. Michael and the Dragon' taken from the former Borough of Basingstoke, all resting on a tri-part motto scroll 'Steadfast And Glad'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no stress marks or damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright, an excellent example.Height approx 31mm.
