Bronze medal with ribbon. The ribbon, for all it is similar to the original and is in the correct colours, it is in fact a UN ribbon. Very good condition.The Korean Service Medal was awarded to U.S. service members for their service during the Korean War, specifically between June 27, 1950, and July 27, 1954. It was established on November 8, 1950, by executive order of President Harry Truman. The medal is primarily awarded for service within the territorial limits of Korea or for directly supporting the military efforts in Korea.
