Named to a 2nd Lieutenant of the 19th Welch Regiment this is the standard issue compass carried by all officers but also issued to MG and other technical troops .These are always a very high quality item . This example is complete and functions . The finish is toned and untouched with clear 1918 to the reverse . The instrument is held in the leather carry fitted case again of wonderful high quality . This also shows a 1918 maker dated stamp and faint owners details . Leather good and supple .
