British SAS Camouflaged Windproof Jacket

A very hard to come by early post war contract true SAS windproof smock . The windproof smock has always had close association with the Special air service but most of these early garments were not specifically design for them but widely adopted by them . This particular version was an order put in by the regiment to bolster dwindling WW2 stocks. The wonderful dark pink shade and factory full length zip are the two main design changes to that of the wartime specifications . The dark pink shade very much reflects the desert terrains that SAS unit found themselves fighting in and is also so well known as the paint scheme found upon the 'Pink' panther land drovers , now of legend ! This smock is a good large example in good lightly used condition all cords are present and the zip functions well . Labels are now washed out . The light fade and camo pattern are stunning making this a choice example of a highly sought classic item .
