WW1 German Mounted Artillery Officers Pickelhaube Of Prussia

Scarce Artillery officers 'Kugelhelme' of Prussia with convex chinscales denoting this being from that of a mounted artillery regiment .A fine quality piece the front plate still retains much of its impressive gilt finish with brass fittings displaying fine age patina which matches throughout. The ball top denoting artillery ( hence the name Kugelhelme ) is removeable as shown & the chinscales denote mounted troops being convex rather than flat . The leather finish of the helmet is good showing only very fine correlating age to surface in places. Interior has a fine quality leather sweatband with silk crown , a handwritten '57' can be seen to the dome.
