S S Empress of Canada ships wheel pin badge

A scarce original circa pre-war period 'S S Empress of Canada gilt and white enamel ships wheel souvenir badge' mounted with the 'Canadian Pacific Steam Ship Company' red and white chequered flag to the centre. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright.Diameter 27mm.In 1939 S S Empress of Canada was converted to a troopship, she was torpedoed and sunk by a submarine in 1943.
