Isle of Wight Constabulary helmet plate pre-1940's

A scarce original pre 1940's period 'Isle of Wight Constabulary police officer helmet plate'; die-stamped blackened brass crowned oak wreath, 'Insula Vectis' circlet (Latin for Isle of Wight) white metal Carisbrooke Castle mounted to lined centre. Good used condition, complete with original two loop fittings and split pin, blackened finish worn back to brass.Height approx 77mm.
