US Indian Wars/Spanish American War Era, Oversized 'Arizona' Canteen

Original era manufacture. Very similar in construction to the standard, IW-SAW era issue canteen, but about half again as large. Being of a larger capacity, we used to refer to these canteens as the 'Arizona' canteen back in the day. Likely the army had a more specific name for them, but in either case, they tend to be fairly uncommon. I cannot remember having more than a few of these pass through our hands in the past 40 odd years. This example is quite sound, showing a clear U.S. stencil, with sound stitching, and no major denting to the body. Comes with its original cloth shoulder strap, measures nearly 10 inches across.
