Original period manufacture. Japanese WWII Type 30 bayonet, blue finished blade, straight guard, contoured wooden grips and a flat bird head pommel. The metal finish is very nice, showing only runner wear to the blade surface.Overall the metal finish is very nice, with most of the bluing remaining, and clear makers markings on the ricasso. Sound wood grips with a original finish, pommel lock button works properly, with a blue finish on the pommel and guard.Mix of blue finish and steel patina on the dent-free scabbard, original brown leather frog in sound condition, with an intact securing strap and buckle. Surface scuffing as shown. Classic WWII Japanese service bayonet.
