WW1 Victory MedalTo- 4356.PTE.J.HUNT.BORD.RJohn Hunt was born in Rainhill, Lancs & enlisted in Liverpool. Whilst living in Whiston, Lancs. He was killed in action in France & Flanders 27-9-1916 serving with the 6th battalion of the Border Regiment. He has no known grave but is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial. The CWGC state that he was the late 25 year old son of George & Elizabeth Hunt of 5 Victoria Road, Rainhill, Lancs.GVF/NEF & Complete with details from both SDGW & the CWGC.
