WW1 British War MedalTo- 1916.PTE.D.POLLARD.BORD.RDavid Pollard was a member of the 1/4th battalion of the Border Regiment.& was later issued with the six figure TF number 200622. This battalion sailed for India in 1914 to relive the 1st battalion in Burma & went on to Rangoon. A small detachment went on to see action In the Kachin Hills. But most members of the battalion including Pte Pollard remained in India for the duration of the war & were only entitled to the British War Medal.A scarce confirmed sole entitlement British War Medal with MIC & medal roll details.
