WW1 British War MedalTo- 6086.PTE.H.W.ELVINS.BORD.RHenry William Elvins first landed in France 26-11-1914 serving with the 2nd battalion of the Border Regiment. He was born in Camberwell & enlisted in London. Whilst living in Southwark. He was sadly killed in action in France & Flanders 23-1-1915 & having no known grave he is commemorated on the Ploegsteert memorial.GVF or better & complete with details from both SDGW & the CWGC
