Description

Iron Cross 2nd Class (Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse). On 1 September 1939 Hitler reinstituted the Iron Cross (First time in 1813). The 2nd class cross was for award to personnel who performed a single act of bravery in combat. The cross has a three piece construction with an iron core, it just shows some minor wear and great detail overall, the cross shows a slightly darker age-patina. The cross comes with its original 10cms long sized ribbon as found. The cross is maker marked with number '76' indicating production by the company of 'Franz Reischauer' from Idar-Oberstein. Nice original cross in good condition!
