BeVo 'Bulgarian' Volunteer Sleeve Shield

WH (Heer) BeVo woven sleeve-shield as intended for a Bulgarian volunteer within the German Army (Landeschilde). The shield is executed in the neat so-called BeVo weave style on a field-grey linnen background. There was no specific Bulgarian volunteer legion within the German Army, Bulgarian volunteers where used as replacements in the regular German Army units. This shield is showing the Bulgarian national colours in white, green and red and was used to identify Bulgarian personel. Rare and hard to find volunteer shield in very good, mint and unissued, condition!
