WH (Heer) 'Schützenschnur'

WH (Heer) First Grade Shooting Lanyard (Schützenschnur 1.Stufe). This is the second model lanyard as used from 1939, there are no acorns attached, stating that it deals with the first grade of this decoration. The zinc based shield is showing a Wehrmacht style eagle above a shield with crossed swords in an oakleaf wreath. It has a nice woolen backing cloth. This lanyard would look great when re-attached to a tunic or 'Waffenrock'. The lanyard is in very good condition with normal age and usage toning. Nice example!
