HJ Overseas Cap

HJ (Hilter-Jugend) Summer Overseas Cap (Sommer-Mütze). The HJ Overseas Cap (Sommermütze) was originally introduced in January 1936. On introduction, the cap had both the national eagle and swastika insignia and the HJ diamond attached. This cap is having the standard red cord piping. The front center of the cap has a machine woven cap-eagle nicely hand-sewn in place above a metal HJ diamond badge, the diamond shaped badge is missing one prong, see photos. An oilcloth RZM tag has been sewn behind the artificial leather sweatband, the sweatband is in damaged condition. The cap is size '57' marked. The cap shows normal traces of usage and wear. Scarce and hard to find original early HJ overseas cap in good used condition!
