Japanese WWII Enlisted Pattern 3 Piece Messkit & Bamboo Cup, Unissued

Original period manufacture. Standard issue, Japanese messkit, three pieces, top inner tray and pot with a swivel bale handle.  Near 100% original paint finish remains intact.  Inside the pot is a nicely carved bamboo drinking cup, which was in the messkit at the time of our purchase. Shallow dent in the pot just below the strap loop.
