US Indian War Era, M1881 Cavalry Enlisted Helmet, 9th Regiment, Size 7

Original period manufacture. A very fine and complete example of the classic late Indian War era cavalry enlisted dress helmet. It is complete and comes from an old, established Arizona collection. QMD inkstamped on the underside of the leather sweatband with a size tag 7 in the back. Original cords, chinstrap, plume and socket. German silver 9 added to the front helmet plate, possibly collector added, however regulation for wear. I thought long and hard about keeping this for myself, but, I can't be my own best customer, much as I would like to be.
