German WWII Heer Officers Sword, Eickhorn Oval Trademark, Field Marshall Series, Roon 189

Original period manufacture. Chrome finished steel blade measuring 31 inches in length, straight and true, very clean high polish finish. Eickhorn oval trademark. Gilded brass Roon pattern guard and pommel, with an engraved Heer pattern eagle on the obverse langet, owners initials, KH, on the reverse langet. Black plastic bound grip bound with triple strand wire. Black painted steel scabbard with a fixed suspension ring. Both throat screws are present, the surface looks to have an old overpaint. Towards the drag it is slightly bent with five dents to the surface.
