Police Auxiliary Messenger Service lapel badge.White metal and enamel badge for the Police Auxiliary Messenger Serivce. Half moon lapel fitting manufactured by Thos. Fattorini, Birmingham, in good used condition with some abrasions.PAMS consisted of 500 full time and a large number of part time youths between 16 and 18 who were employed as Police messengers. Put into uniform in 1941 and disbanded in 1945
