US M1902 Quartermaster 2nd Lt. Dress Coat, 47th NY National Guard, Identified

Original period manufacture. Double breasted dark blue wool dress coat, with it's full complement of New York State buttons present. Gold brocade cuff stripe on each sleeve with a single rank gallon for a 2nd Lieutenant. Directly embroidered into the cuff material in silver wire are the numbers 47, below crossed rifles, and below again the Quartermaster emblem. Buff ribbed silk panel on the collar trimmed in gold brocade. Heavy gold wire slip-on shoulder boards, one on each shoulder. Full body lining in black silk with two inner chest pockets, clear tailor's tag in one of the pockets, named to D.L.Cook, with a date of March 1900. The body lining is torn inside that pocket. Size about a 38, no visible moth damage, overall very clean condition.
