US Indian War Era, Mass. VM Marksmanship Badge, Bronze, 1884

Original period manufacture. Well made bronze badge with a maker marked, numbered reverse. Suspended from the horizontal bar is a miniature Minie Ball bearing the date of 1884. Maker name, Shreve-Crump & Low, Boston, numbered 789. Comes with a slip of paper stating that badge 789 was awarded to Pvt. L.E.Grant 1st Corps of Cadets.
