Description

A fine gilt example worn circa 1881-1901. Crowned star mounted with laurel wreath and Garter, the black velvet centre bearing in silver Sphinx on 'Egypt' tablet. Mounted on the base of the wreath, a silver tri-part scroll inscribed 'The East Lancashire Regiment'. Two screw posts and nuts to reverse indicating possibly worn on Foreign Service helmet. VGC
