54th (West Norfolk) Regiment of Foot senior NCO's 'Quilted' shako plate circa 1861-69.

A very fine scarce die-stamped gilt example. Crowned star bearing Garter; pierced stencilled '54' to seeded centre. Two loops to reverse. Hairline split between the numerals otherwise VGC.Became 2nd Bn Dorsetshire Regiment on 1st July 1881.
