WW1 1914-15 StarTo- 4295.PTE.R.UNWIN.LEIC.RRonald Unwin first landed in France 11-12-1915 serving with the 1/5th battalion of the Leicestershire regiment. He was sadly killed in action in France & Flanders 29-4-1917 serving under his new six figure TF service number 241534. He was both born & enlisted in Loughborough. He was 20 years of age at the time of his death & is buried in Bully-Grenay communal cemetery, British extension & is recorded by the CWGC as the late Son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Unwin, of 123, Herrick Rd., Loughborough.NEF & Complete with MIC details. Along with details from both SDGW & the CWGC
