WH 'Gebirgsjäger' Ankle Boots

Wehrmacht Mountain Trooper's Ankle Boots (Bergschuhe für Gebirgsjäger). Due to the nature of the terrain and the commonly colder climate that the Mountain Divisions were expected to serve in, special clothing, equipment and footwear was developed specifically for their use. This is a nice textbook pair of Mountain Trooper's ankle boots, made of dark-brown leather, complete with hobnails and iron parts. The boots are complete with original field-grey wool at the shafts. The boots are size '27' marked. The boots come with a pair of leather laces. The boots are showing the expected period use and wear, the pair is in clearly used and worn condition. This pair would be perfect for a Mountain Trooper's display. Nice original pair of Gebirgsjäger boots!
