Description

Prussian Merit Cross for War Aid (Kreuz für Kriegshilfsdienst). The cross was instituted by King Wilhelm II on 5 December 1916, the cross was awarded for patriotic war aid service, without regard to status or rank. The cross is period mounted on a so-called 'Einzelspange'. It comes with its functional pin/catch attachment for mounting it on a tunic. Nice original cross in very good condition!
