Dutch M27 Combat Helmet

Dutch M27 Combat Helmet (Stalen Helm Model 27). The stamped sheet steel construction M27 helmet retains almost all of its original smooth dark grey-green paint. All liner retaining rivets are intact. The interior of the helmet is a leather liner complete with felt protection and original liner-cord. The liner is nicely maker marked by 'J. de Valk' from Amsterdam and dated 'CM1932' (Centraal-Magazijn). The Dutch Lion helmet plate has been removed from the front of the helmet and comes separately with the helmet, these helmet plates were often removed by soldiers during the mobilisation, it was rumored that German soldiers were targeting the helmet plate and that it was a weak point of the helmet. There are some normal damages and scratches caused by usage. The helmet is complete with its original chinstrap. Interesting original Dutch combat helmet in good used condition!
