Description

WH (Heer) 'Pionier' EM's Overseas Cap (Einheitsfeldmütze M34). The M34 overseas cap was introduced for wear by EM/NCO's on 24 March 1934. On 21 July 1942 it was replaced by the more functional M42 overseas cap followed by the M43 field-cap which was based on the M42 overseas cap and the Mountain Trooper's Mountain Cap (Bergmütze). This is a textbook EM's M34 overseas cap. On front the cap is having an original BeVo cap-eagle and cocarde originally period hand-sewn in place, the cap is complete with an original applied black coloured Pionier (Engineer) soustache. The cap is nicely maker marked by the the company 'Alfred Valet, Mützenfabrik' from Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt and dated 1939. The cap is size '56' marked. The cap is showing some normal traces of usage and age and a few tiny moth damages, see photos. Hard to find original Pionier EM's Overseas Cap (Schiffchen) in good used condition!
