Luftwaffe M40 SD 'Südfront' Camouflaged Helmet

Luftwaffe M40 Single Decal Tropical/Südfront Camouflaged Combat Helmet (Stahlhelm M40). The steel construction M40 helmet retains most (approximately 80%) of its rough textured three-tone yellow/sand with green and brown coloured camouflage (field-applied) overpaint, a Luftwaffe decal is clearly visible beneath the paint. All three liner retaining rivets are intact. The interior of the helmet is a M31 leather liner with all eight fingers intact and the original liner cord is present as well, there are some minor damages to the liner, see photos, the liner is size '58' marked. The shell is marked with maker and size 'Q66'. 'Q' is indicating production by the company of 'F.W. Quist, G.m.b.H.' in Esslingen. The reverse interior neck guard apron has a stamped serial number '325'. There are normal traces of wear and usage. Nice original Luftwaffe Tropical/Südfront Camouflage Helmet in good used condition!
