This paper tinnie was given to people who donated during a street collection held by the NVD (Nederlandse Volksdienst) to collect money after the allied bombing of Amsterdam North on 17 Juli 1943. The bombing was aimed at the Fokker aircraft factories in Amsterdam who were involved in the German war industry, over 200 people died during this attack. Rare original tinnie!
