Wehrmacht 'Großdeutschland' Cufftitle

Wehrmacht 'Großdeutschland' Cufftitle (Ärmelband). This is a third pattern 'Großdeutschland' Cufftitle as introduced on 7 October 1940. The cufftitle shows two silver coloured 'braid-based' borders and the neatly hand-embroidered script 'Großdeutschland' in silver bullion threads, embroidered in the 'Sütterlin' script. The cufftitle has the typical opened back construction with the top and bottom edges folded over the reverse. The cufftitle measures approximately 44cms in length and is still sewn together, example in heavily used and clearly tunic removed condition. The cufftitle is in showing heavily traces of usage and small damages, see photos. This one would serve perfect to restore a combat worn GD tunic with. Desirable original cufftitle of an interesting unit!
