Description

This is a nice original German Red Cross EM's Overseas Cap (Schiffchen). In December 1937 the DRK (Deutsches Rotes Kreuz) gained status as a legally recognized organization by the NSDAP. As with other essential services in Third Reich Germany, it came under control of the NSDAP. This is a second pattern grey woolen DRK overseas cap as introduced in January 1938. The interior of the cap is fully lined in a grey cotton, the cap is nicely maker marked by the company 'Gebr. Alm' from Berlin, size '53' marked and dated December 1940. The cap is complete with a BeVo machine woven DRK eagle eagle, a cockade and a white soutache. The cap shows some minimal traces of usage and some minor (moth)damage. Nice original DRK Overseas Cap in good condition!
