BeVo 'Terek Cossacks' Volunteer Sleeve Shield

WH (Heer) BeVo woven sleeve-shield as intended for a volunteer within the 'Terek Cossacks' (Ärmelschild für Freiwillige Terek-Kosaken). The cossacks served within the 1st Cossack Calvary Division which was formed from Don, Kuban and Terek Cossacks. As with other foreign volunteers Terek Cossack personnel were allocated an identifying sleeve shield insignia. The shield is executed in the neat so-called BeVo weave style on a field-grey linnen background. This is an extremely rare and hard to find volunteer shield. Nice original piece of Eastern volunteer insignia in mint and unissued condition!
