Description

'Reichskolonialbund' (RKB) Member's Pin (Mitgliedsabzeichen). The Reich Colonial League (Reichskolonialbund) was a collective body that absorbed all German colonial organizations during the time of the Third Reich. It was led by 'Franz Ritter von Epp', the purpose of the Reichskolonialbund was to reclaim the overseas colonies that Germany had lost as a result of the Treaty of Versailles at the end of World War I. The RKB was active between 1936 and 1943. The Reichskolonialbund sleeve insignia was worn to indicate that the wearer was a member of the official Colonial Veterans League (Reichskolonialbund), the patch could also be worn by for example Police members who were a member of the RKB. The insignia is nicely flat-wire woven as intended for an officer's rank. The patch is in clearly used and tunic removed condition. Extremely rare and hard to find original RKB sleeve insignia!
