Description

British 7th Armoured Division Patch. The patch is nicely machine-embroidered on black felt. The 7th Armoured Division fought in most major battles during the North African Campaign and got the nickname 'Desert Rats'. Later it would land and fight in Italy before being withdrawn to the United Kingdom where it prepared to fight in North West Europe. It began landing in Normandy during the afternoon of 6 June and fought its way across Europe ending the war in Kiel and Hamburg. This is an early version of the 2nd pattern introduced in November 1943. Nice original example in mint and unissued condition!
