Waffen-SS Death Notice

Waffen-SS Death notice (Sterbebild). A common practice in Europe that continues to this day, is the issue of a remembrance card on the death of a family member. This is a deathnotice for 'Hermann Gruber' who was a 'Unterscharführer' within a SS Regiment. He was killed in action on 2 February 1943 at the eastern front. Hermann was awarded with the 'Ostmedaille' (German Eastern Front Medal). Interesting original death notice!
