WH (Heer) Award-Documents from Gefreiten 'Josef Stoffer', he was a member within the '3./Sich.Batl.1901' (Sicherungs-Bataillon 1901). The 'Infanterie-Sicherungs-Bataillon Lettland' was established on 31 January 1944 in Latvia. The battalion consisted of 4 companies, the battalion was subordinated to Army Group North. The battalion was renamed to 'Sicherungs-Bataillon 1901' on 22 February 1944. The set is consisting of 2 Award-Documents (Urkunden), both in (DIN) A5 size. Josef was awarded the Infantry Assault Badge in Silver (Infanterie Sturmabzeichen in Silber) on 2 November 1944. He was awarded with the Woundbadge in Silver (Verwundetenabzeichen in Silber) on 20 February 1945. The documents have been folded and are a bit wrinkled, see photos. Interesting original set of award documents!
