Kriegsmarine SD M42 Combat Helmet

Kriegsmarine Single-decal M42 Combat Helmet (Stahlhelm M42). The stamped sheet steel construction M42 helmet retains most of its rough textured, field-grey paint. The paint shows normal wear and scratches caused by usage, see photos. A standard Kriegsmarine decal is applied to the left side of the helmet, the decal is retained for about 75%. All three liner retaining rivets are intact. The interior of the helmet is a M31 leather liner with aluminum ring, the leather is still very supple and nicely size '56' marked, a name (or initials) has been written on the liner; 'Paw'. The liner is complete with it's original drawstring as found. The shell is marked with maker and size 'EF64' which indicates production by the company 'Emaillerwerke AG' in Fulda. The reverse interior neck guard apron has a stamped serial number '1989'. The helmet is complete with its original chinstrap, the chinstrap is nicely maker marked by the company of 'Rahm & Kampmann' from Wuppertal. Hard to find untouched original Kriegsmarine helmet in good condition!
