BDM Proficiency Clasp in Silver

This is a nice original BDM (Bund Deutscher Mädel) Proficiency Clasp in Silver (Leistungsabzeichen in Silber). The BDM was the girl's section of the Nazi youth movement 'Hitler-Jugend'. It was the only female youth organization in Nazi Germany, the 'Jungmädel' for little girls in the age of 10-14 was part of the BDM. The badge is neatly maker marked on the back with 'RzM M1/15' indicating production by the company of 'Ferdinand Hofstätter' in Bonn. It is marked with the unique number '5839'. This pin/catch attachement construction is complete and functional. Silver BDM clasps are extremely rare and very difficult to find. Nice original example in good condition!
