Description

This is a nice Olympic Games 1936 porcelain souvernir vase. The 1936 Olympic Games were held in Berlin, Hitler saw the Games as an opportunity to promote his government and ideals of racial supremacy. This beautiful vase is produced in a high-quality, off-white porcelain. It is approximately 15cms tall. The inner rim of the mouth and upper/lower edges of the base have a gilt stripe. The vase shows the Berlin 'Bear' with a gilt crown and below this is the script 'Olympia Berlin 1936' in gilt. The bottom of the vase is nicely maker marked in green by the 'Hutschenreuther' company from Selb (Germany). Decorative original vase!
