Dutch Army sleeve-shield 'T-Brigade'

This is a nice original Dutch Netherlands East Indies Army sleeve-shield as intended for a member within the Tiger-Brigade (T-Brigade). The tiger is the king of the jungle and symbol of courage strength and attacking power. It was predictable that the T-Brigade, which arrived from Malakka at Semarang in March 1946, soon was called the Tiger-Brigade and chose the tiger as a symbol for the brigade. The shield is in good condition and showing some normal traces of usage. Stunning looking original sleeve-shield!
