Luftwaffe 'LKpN101' Summer Flight Helmet

Luftwaffe 'LKp.N.101' Summer Flight Helmet (Netzkopfhaube mit FT-Gerät). The Netzkopfhaube model flight helmet was designed for summer wear and was outfitted with radio equipment as used by fighter pilots and bomber commanders, these were mostly used by fighter pilots. Chocolate brown leather and brown cotton mesh construction flight helmet with steel fittings. The interior of the helmet is partially lined in white sheepwool and lined with leather at the forehead, the cap is size '58' marked. The cap is complete with integral communications equipment and original long type wire and plug. Everything is nicely marked and the cap is complete with label and maker marked with manufacturer's code 'bxo' which is indicating production by the 'Deutsche Telefonwerke u. Kabelindustrie A.G.' from Berlin. The cap shows normal period wear and use, see photos. Nice and hard to find original 'Netzkopfhaube' in very good condition!
